The fields on the LA1 - (LA06-LA17) tab are described in the following table.

| FE/HE Funded | Indicates whether the learning aim is FE or HE funded. |
| Default Learning Aim | Select this check box to specify that a learning activity is created for all learners enrolled on this UIO, during the LLWR generation process. |
| Funding Year | The DfES funding year that the learning aim relates to. Select from the list. |
| Title of LA (LA08) | The title of the learning activity, if the learning activity is not included in the Welsh Learning Aims Database (WLAD). |
| Learning Aim (LA06) | The DfES learning aim code. Click the Search button to open the Qualification Aim Search window, which can be used to select the correct learning aim. |
| Date Commenced LA (LA09) | The default start date for the learning activity. |
| Expected End Date of LA (LA10) | The default end date for the learning activity. |
| Learning Provision Funding (LA11) | The type of funding for the learning activity. |
| Workforce and Community Dev Funding (LA12) | Not required, null return from 2012. |
| Strategic Investment Stream (LA14) | Not required, null return from 2012. |
| LLDD Indicator (LA15) | If the learning is being undertaken by a learner with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LLDD). |
| Other Fund Src (LA17) | The main source of funding other than the Welsh Government, or HEFCW. |
